S59 will go down as TB's best ever season as the team for the first time clocked up 4 wins, triggered by a quality late finish at the tail end of the season. Some inspirational performances ranging from Guilbert's swansong stage win in his final season, Bugayev getting back to winning ways after 4 seasons, Vajda textbook breakaway steal but fans favourite performance probably goes to Polishchuk's unexpected win at the Oiartzun - Irun. Still at a young age, Polishcuk has an exciting future.
S59 will be a useful platform for TB to build upon as we endeavour to break into D4, with a number of retirements and a greater dependency to support the NT the team's tactical approach will be a lot more focussed. TB will be looking to build around some exciting and incredible young talents coming through the Youth Academy such as Dolzhikov and Rusanov.
Team Manager Barry said "An historic performance from the lads, good to see a good spread of victories with both experiennced and new riders coming up to the plate with wins. Next step will be to hit D4".
In summary:
Pts: 446 (+118pts)
Division: E (E) (+1 Divisions)
Rank: Ukraine 1st ( -/+ place)
worldwide 316th (+90 places)
Team Value 1.712m (+9k)
Personnel & Tactical Changes
Bugayev and Davydov continue in their Captain and Vice Captaincy roles in what maybe the formers last season with a heavy team focus on DH and CB. Vajda, Voronkov, Cluff and Yenotov will provide backup but will be expected to captain a few rides in TF for S60 so watch this space. TB say goodbye to Looper and Guilbert who both join the coaching team while we say goodbye to Vannoy (who returns to England for personal reasons) and Trourbaugh who joins the bar. We wish them well in their endeavours.
International:
Ukraine will be dissappointted to have missed out on the podiums as a period of transition for the NT beckons. Some exciting riders coming through the ranks but it's unlikely they'll be making an impact for the NT for a couple of seasons yet.
A number of TB riders were heavily featured, including Bugayev (3 caps), Davydov (1 cap), Voronkov (3 caps),Dmitriyev (2 Cap)
Nechayev (2 caps), , Kapriyanov (1 caps), Chupov (1 cap) Polishchuk and Volkov debuts - 2 and 1 cap respectively) and - although none were really able to make their mark - however special reference should be made for Dmrityev's 14th in the WTB Villavicencio - Bogota (WT).
For TB's Uzbek contingent, Yenotov continues to pick up rides for the Uzbek NT (3 WT) including a career best 19th at the WTD Somerset Village - Fort Victoria (WT). Arshavin also makes his career debut for the Uzbek NT.
